Wildlife Sightings
Both Luambe and North National Park has made incredible strides in recent years, with the 2025 game viewing season being the best yet. Wildlife sightings have become increasingly abundant and diverse, with regular appearances of leopards and wild dogs in and around both camps. Notably, 3 different packs of wild dogs were frequently seen near Luambe toward the end of the season). The park also continues to boast impressive sightings of hippos, large herds of elephants, giraffes, buffalo, and wildebeest, making every safari drive rich with wildlife diversity. Birdwatchers also continue to be rewarded here, especially during September and October when the colourful carmine bee-eaters arrive in their numbers, proving to be a real highlight for visitors.

Guest Experiences
The 2025 season was a tremendous success for all three Luangwa camps, welcoming guests from around the world who were consistently impressed by their experience. Many visitors praised the tranquility of having the wilderness all to themselves, as one guest described being the only visitors in the park for several nights. The camps’ friendly, knowledgeable guides and warm hospitality were frequently highlighted, with guests particularly enjoying unique experiences such as the Luambe sleep-outs. Feedback like “Back to nature at its best” and “What a special place!” reflects the deep connection guests felt with the remote, unspoilt African wilderness. Overall, the season left guests with incredible memories and a strong desire to return.
